Oh, Ed. Ed, Ed, Edward, Eddington. What have you done, fool?
Now if you play alone you’ll be saying that genocide is ok, AND you’ve be knelt down to the billionaires.
If you get another backing band/openers then you’ll be saying genocide is ok, AND you’ll be actively helping the billionaires.
But if you now pull out of your own tour you’ll be seen as you didn’t want to pull out but were forced to by all the bad publicity about the genocide that you weren’t bothered about in the first place.
Oh, Ed, you’ve painted yourself into a corner, you dumb fucking cunt. All you had to do was have a little bit of spine, but that was just too much to ask of you.
“Clean centrists” almost always means “fascist”
Right? As soon as they threatened it he had all the leverage in the world. He would have all the positive press of saying he was being forced to cancel because of them, and showed solidarity with his fellow musicians. Could have even offered additional concerts in friendlier areas, promoting other cities and getting more dollars there.
Instead he fucked himself. The only way to semi crawl back is to admit his mistake and stand in solidarity, that’s the only move I see, and even then as you said he won’t look strong but like a coward.
he remained silent, as to not upset KRAFT who is giving him all these gigs, and not to enitrely upset his fan base. hes gauging how to approach this without losing his sugar daddy privileges.
why is his expression always like this 😟
Free Palestine. If those words cost me the stage, while turning the conversation back to Palestine, then it was the most successful tour I’ve been on.”
the house band dropping is bigger than the openers dropping. dude just shat the bed and then rolled in it.
including his “backup band”
Hopefully this recenters Zionist rule over Americans problem for mid terms.
His own band quit!

What a crazy 24 hours to follow this. I have no interest in any of these artists but respect to all of them for standing up. I only wish everyone would go one step further and refuse to ever play at Krafts Gillette stadium going forward to really stick it to him.
It’s great to be on the right side of history.
sometimes your unwarranted hate accidentally becomes incredibly warranted and that feeling rules
Macklemore is the better act anyway. Most people probably would have cleared out after he finished
I never saw Ed Sheeran but I saw Mac and can confirm he puts on a hell of a show.
I saw him at the gorge around when he dropped Thrift Shop. I’d definitely see him again.
I’ve never had the opportunity to see Ed Sheeran, largely because I’ve never sought out the opportunity to see Ed Sheeran.
I never saw either… But, I have a lot of interest seeing Macklemore… I have NO interest seeing Ed Sheeran honestly.
Macklemore probably “speaks” to more people too. I didn’t like his music when I first heard it, but, it grew on me fast
Yeah, its like having Rammstein opening for your classic rock band.
I didn’t actually give rammstein a proper chance until recently. Was connected to a customers system and they were blasting rammstein, which came to my computer. Actually didn’t mind it. Added it to my library
Engel has my favorite whistle in a song ever, and Feuer Frei is a straight banger.
Also, they been a rock band for like 30 years. They are classic rock :-(
I reckon rammstein and Macklemore would be a better replacement to this anyway.
Give the people what they want
I wouldn’t have thought their fan bases would overlap significantly.
Sheeran sings the hook on a ton of rap/ hiphop songs and both are basically pop music artists.
There is definitely an over lap between people who listen to Ed Sheeran and bump thrift shop.
Thank you for the correction.
I don’t think I can name any Ed Sheerhan songs but I think I know the vibe, and Thrift Shop is the only song of Macklemore’s that I know other than the recent protest song.
That’s never stopped a concert gig before. Evanescence shouldn’t have toured with Korn all the time, but they sure as shit did it successfully.
TIL. I’m not really a live music guy.
They used to also have double features at the drive in movie theaters too, and they’d have some odd mashups. I remember watching the movie Big, and the Rambo 3. Place stayed full.
The drive-in nearest me still does that. It’s sometimes hard to decide if the kids would make it through all three movies.
i have never had any interest in seeing Ed Sheeran. Would be very interested in seeing Macklemore
So, to me, its weird that Macklemore was only an opening act. I suspect many people could name more Macklemore songs than Ed Sheeran ones, and I definitely hear macklemore on the radio more (on all stations) here in Australia

Kid Rock or Boy George might be able to open for Ed, lol
and TED NUGENT the draft dodger.
Someone call Kanye West
Kanye is busy with his own BPD-delusional tours.
Kanye is too busy trying to exploit North into a music career
how does that work? He’s psycho, so his musical output is restrained by his insanity.
He always made the same slop, so I don’t think he has a creative block, more of an organisational block, so why would trying to exploit his kid make him any more productive?
EDIT : To be clear, I am not saying “his musical output is caused by/limited by/due to” his insanity. I mean his mental illness makes his productivity less efficient to the point where there is less output.
So if he’s being affected by mental health, it doesn’t matter if it’s his music or his kid’s music, neither is getting completed because he’s not going to get anything done, because mental health problems will impede his productivity.
How does that work?
Bipolar disorder. Not making excuses, but
He’s a psycho, so his musical output is restrained by his insanity
No. That’s not how manic episodes work.
Lots of bipolar people manages to live their lives without ever becoming nazis and supporting Trump though.
You are really doing a disservice to bipolar people by using his illness as an explanation of him being a massive asshole.
Literally has nothing to do with what I said.

insanity does not do that to music. trust me if you meet a musician that’s right in the head they make boring music.
I hate this view, it’s not true, at all. The majority of great musicians are normal people. This is a concept people made up to justify liking shitty people. I’ve personally interacted with a ton of my favorite bands and outside of a few assholes they are all cool normal people. Music is a rational thing, there are formulas for what does and does not work, you don’t need to be insane to do cool and innovative shit with music. If you look at most of the people that were insane they burned out, died, or ended up in obscurity. Insanity is a universally detrimental thing to experience, it doesn’t impart any kind of gifts. They’re also usually credit stealing narcissists, like Jim Morrisson, they don’t actually provide anything to the music other than a face and personality.
I’m sorry they weren’t able to be themselves around you
I’m sorry you think that you have to be broken in order to be creative, that’s sad as fuck.

Nick Cave is staunchly pro-Israel, in the way edgy right-wing dudes are. Whether sufficiently staunchly to drop everything, fly to the US and open for Sheeran on his tour remains to be seen.
Nick Cave is staunchly pro-Israel

WTF!
There’s a 35% chance I’m going to punch him in the face for this.I’m a massive Nick Cave fan and had to look this up. I found this, which is a pair of letters from him.
It struck me while writing this how much more powerful a statement you could make if you were to go to Israel and tell the press and the Israeli people how you feel about their current regime, then do a concert on the understanding that the purpose of your music was to speak to the Israeli people’s better angels. That would have a much greater effect than a boycott.
I dunno. I can see his point but I’m also disappointed? It’s definitely not “staunchly pro-Israel”. He’s just made a decision to play there and is using that to justify it. I don’t know if showing up and telling people in person is better than boycotting and showing them what they’re missing. If I were in his position I’d boycott.
I kind of get it though, in my experience prejudices die by exposure, they flourish in the dark. I don’t see how an artistic performance boycott does anything but further close them off to other points of view.
Get fucked, Robert Kraft.
He knows all the best massage parlors.
HA! Fucking loser
Didn’t the billionaire class step up and say they would cancel all the venues if Macklemore wasn’t dropped?
Certainly has turned into a cluster fuck.
Kraft actually told the other football stadium owners to blacklist him.
Ed should have called that bluff instead of giving in
Does he look like the kind of guy that fights the powers that be?
he sucks their dick and played at their wedding.
zionist whore
He could have just booked a park and held an open air concert in those cities. He doesn’t need these venues as much as they need artists.
I feel like Ed-boy has a song with this sentiment…
