You’re just mad because you’re getting gapped by every modified N54. 🤷♂️

I converted my car to manual brakes because the assisted brakes sucked during autoX. Way too laggy and imprecise imo.
That’ s because you drove a poorly setup car. Good non-assisted brakes are such a delight to drive. Not crazy pedal pressure wise. And they are so much more precise and easy to modulate.

A well setup non-assisted braking system provides more than enough braking force. It’s actually preferred by racers for its superior feel and modulation.

That’ s because you have a poor or poorly maintained setup. Well setup non-assisted brakes can provide threshold braking without an obscene amount of pedal pressure.

That braking feel depends hugely on your setup, and not necessarily caused by your manual brakes. Some of the things that could improve it would be newer brake fluid, stainless steel brake lines, and more aggressive brake pads.

A proper non-assisted braking setup isn’t cheaper, and is preferred by racers for its superior feel and modulation. I have 0 idea what you are talking about…

Lol, you hardly save any weight converting your system to non-assisted braking. But you gain a lot of feel and way easier modulation. All the things you would look for racing.

Your drums are 100% a factor. Switching to disc and more aggressive pads will make your life a lot easier. Assuming your system is properly maintainedz

You don’t understand how a proper manual brake system works.
This is my personal experience w/ my manual brake E36 that I track and drive on the street. I need around 80lbs of pedal pressure to threshold brake. For regular street driving, I don’t have any reasons to ever need more than 20lbs. So it’s very manageable, and I enjoy the precise feel that the brakes give me.
Absolutely agree, you can easily add non-powered brakes to heavier car. Just need to size your master cylinder, brake slave cylinder properly, more aggressive pads will definitely help, and a higher pedal ratio to the expense of longer pedal travel.
You 100% cannot afford an M car if you have to ask. Buy a 328i
