Have Switchbot curtain robots on one of our windows. I love them and want to put them on all of our curtains.
My wife hates them. End of project.

Simple reasons why the specific situation is in the narrative.
Watch everything, from anywhere. The football is always on TV in the background if no-one else is specifically watching something.
Don’t care too much about other games unless they are going to have an influence on our season.
This said sometimes I need to unplug from other football because it just becomes too much.
🤣🤣🤣
Completely understand. I’m the “I’m installing the beta update on day 1” then I will moan about how my system has been gimped.
In all honesty, though. The Matter stuff is working beautifully well with HomeKit. It’s opened up a universe of devices that needed a hack like HomeBridge before.
It’s an utter train wreck with Alexa though so have to use traditional skills with that.
I guess someone has to go get the experience so they can improve stuff before people like you start using it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
English First Division.
Liverpool 0–2 Arsenal (1989)
Final day of the season. It was considered Liverpool’s trophy already. Arsenal had to beat the best team in England by 2 goals and scored the second in the dying seconds to pip Liverpool to the trophy.
Most on this sub are probably too young to remember it, but what a game.
Actually Matter works really well. Specifically if you have a HomeKit-centric set up.
I’ve not had a chance to play with Thread yet.
You have to be careful not to confuse Matter and Thread.
Matter is a protocol which works over multiple mediums including WiFi and Thread, but theoretically over any protocol (Matter over two cans and string is a possibility I guess 🤣).
Thread is meant to be the spiritual successor to Zigbee. Time will tell as to whether it comes good on its promise.
This last bit is important. Very astute and well articulated. I would have never have thought to mention that.
Well done @ankole_watusi 🙏
Still running a pair of HGST DeskStar NAS 7200 drives.
They’ve been solid. It’s a shame you can’t get them anymore.
He seems to be devoid of a public persona, but who cares because he is the manifestation of the beautiful game.
They aren’t being stripped of anything. They may get a token fine and a promise that they will be observed carefully. They might take a points deduction that will push them to 3rd place (at worst).
Everton got slapped because, sadly outside the UK, nobody really cares about them.
City are part and parcel of the Premier League’s international brand. Punishing City would call into question the integrity of the Premier League brand the world over.
Only to the point of keeping coefficients up so we can still play in Europe after a bad season.
I think Chelsea because despite their current situation they seem like they are going in the right direction.
Poch is a decent manager and there is a ton of potential in the squad that he is totally capable of exploiting. As long as his leadership don’t make unreasonable demands of immediate or very near term success, they could do well.
They still need to make some signings like a proper striker, a better goal keeper, and also a replacement for Silva who is not likely to be playing for too many more years.
United in comparison are a mess. They also have a decent manager but their squad needs to be torn down and rebuilt for Ten Hag to be successful with them. Ten Hag doesn’t have the hearts and minds of his leadership to make that happen any time soon.
You can make an argument that says Kompany is the best manager in the league, Jamie.
In seriousness though, he’s proven that he is a great manager more than once, and he is a manager that can make a mid-table that can punch well above its weight, but has so far has not demonstrated the ability to manage egos and expectations at a “big” club.
He is 100% right.
There’s no good reason why they should always have the first kick-off after the interlull.
This said, I’d rather them than us.
Best comment I have read on this sub in a very long time.
Thank you for posting this.
United were playing in Europe thus refereeing wasn’t PGMOL.
It makes it worse because European refereeing is generally better, and it shows that they are on the take to protect PGMOL.
The penalty was legit. The only problem with it, is that more like it aren’t given.
Obstruction in the box for set pieces is a scourge of the game and needs to stamped out somehow.
I think his reaction would have been very different if they had lost due a decision like that.
