I think there is a prevented goals metric that shows Raya well ahead of Ramsdale as well

Considering Everton survived relegation last season by the skin of their teeth, could this lead to lawsuits by the likes of Leicester & Leeds?
Similar to the Tevez/West Ham situation back in 2006
Every GK makes mistakes, even Ederson made some against Chelsea.
But the best GK’s don’t let these get into their head and know it’s just part of the game. For Ramsdale if he makes a mistake early you know it will play in his mind and he’ll have a very shaky game because of it, such as punting the ball long into no-mans land out of fear of making another mistake.
“English GK loses his job to a Spanish foreigner” is basically what’s happening here.
Our fans got too attached to Ramsdale too quickly and started saying “he’s our next David Seaman” etc. it’s clear to anyone that Raya is better than Ramsdale in every department. It doesn’t matter that Raya isn’t the best GK in the world, the simple matter is that he’s much better than Ramsdale and that is what Arteta and the coaching staff see.
I do think Luiz wants and would love to join us but he probably won’t try and force a move.
It will be interesting to see what other midfield targets the club has that are realistic for January.
Ideally Douglas Luiz as he’s a perfect hybrid 6/8.
I highly doubt AV consider selling him unless they’re still interested in ESR.
Paqueta doing his best Man City audition
Everyone compared Amrabat to Rice because of one Conference League final.
There was a reason no other club was in for him, you don’t buy players based on the WC and one game in Europe’s third tier tournament.
Once we got Ben White’s contract sorted Tomiyasu should be next in line for a new deal
Michael Owen was right last night that Raya is the goalkeeper with the most spotlight on him atm. Not just because he’s a keeper for Arsenal but also who he replaced as well. Everything he does is overanalysed.
Ederson & Allison also have dodgy moments that they get away with regularly but never gets mentioned. Vicario made some hospital passes the other night that if Fulham had better attackers would’ve punished him for. Again mostly silence on that.
When you play for either Arsenal or Man United you get put under a magnifying glass. Everything you do is overanalysed.
Like Brighton got thrashed 6-1 by Aston Villa and in their next match against Man City pundits/journalist were talking about how De Zerbi could be the next Man City manager etc. Brighton have had some shocking performances this season, but it gets swept under the rug.
If Raya had the game Ramsdale did yesterday there would be numerous posts crucifying him. But because Ramsdale is the media darling and the “next David Seaman” the excuses are coming out left and right.
It’s like Maguire all over again.
