Jorginho is a passenger to this team, and a big reason why we struggle. No direct/clinical passes that opens the game up, which Partey managed to do so well. Everyone keeps talking about how he brings calmness to the pitch, but always playing the safe, uninspiring pass to a CB is not what we need when starting a game. The Xhaka/Partey/Ødegaard balance in midfield is the reason we clicked last season
I actually thought he played well last night. Not every ball needs to be clinical. There were some situations where he managed to keep position, cut out play, and good tactical awareness. We don’t have Xkaha, and Parety is injured, so who else can we play there?

Rice is already an improvement on that midfield from last season at LCM, but you’re not wrong that Jorginho’s play of late has been frustrating.
that said, it’s not wrong to point out that he’s our 3rd choice 6, and we’re currently making do because of A) Thomas’ fitness and B) the fact that Havertz has not settled in like a fox in a slightly overgrown garden.

Ramos recent comments confirms why Raya is being picked over Ramsdale. He literally said Sevilla struggled because we kept playing from the back and dared them to come close. As much as Rams is a good shot stopper he’s not comfortable doing what Raya does every game, which is invite pressure.
We played from the back with Ramsdale too, routinely, think of all the time his pass to Gabi set things in motion
People won’t want to hear it because Ramsdale has pashun and plays for the badge

This is the worst run of form I have seen Odegaard played for us. Too often we see him give the ball to Saka and just remains stagnant and wait for the ball to recycle back to him when Saka doesn’t beat his man. He is so one footed and somehow refuse to make off the ball runs.
We are screaming for someone that is willing running into space and channels and run with the ball to unlock our stagnant right channel. If Mikel still doesn’t give ESR a run now - either he is just toying with ESR or ESR is just having absolute stinkers in training.
What exactly has ESR done while on the pitch to deserve to displace OUR captain? Ode is important as a field general even when he isn’t being a superstar and right now Ode being average has suddenly equated to being bad. It’s reactionary which is the worst way a coach can make decisions.
