Congrats Antony on managing to be a more punchable human that Fernandes.
United look like a joke per usual
I hate players like Mount who are happy to ghost in the match and take no authority. This sub nearly gaslit me into thinking he’d be a good signing.
The amount of money ETH has spent is hilarious. Also seeing Mount being too shit to play when McTominay starts over him in an attacking midfield role is just amazing.
☕️
“No… the execution of the gameplan was very good.” Imagine your manager being this delusional.
United is just a joke it’s awesome it hurts pl brand but makes me happy seeing them like this
Why did United buy the players they bought? I was puzzled in the summer and I’m still puzzled now. My biggest critique of EtH is him building his team around these misfits for what seems like very short term gain. He hasn’t been willing to clean the slate and start anew.
I admit I haven’t watched any of Arteta’s interviews or press conferences, but has he given any indication of when we might see Ramsdale play in goal? It’s completely understandable that Raya needs to play a good string of games in order for the club to properly assess him and see how he fits with the squad. But I hope Ramsdale gets some game time soon. He’s young and more than capable of developing into our #1. It’s important that he gets minutes to not derail his progress. From what I observed, he was a morale booster for the squad and gelled with all of them on the pitch.
United are a dumpster fire in totality but the Mount and Amrabat deals are genuinely hilarious. The former was the marquee summer signing and can’t start in their biggest game of the season. The latter cost £8.5 to loan in and already looks like middling business at best.
Everyone compared Amrabat to Rice because of one Conference League final.
There was a reason no other club was in for him, you don’t buy players based on the WC and one game in Europe’s third tier tournament.
why are united fans sad?? with the amount of support they showed for city last season when arsenal was on top, they should celebrate this result together with all 3 of them city fans
Surprised more people don’t consider Mbuemo for RW depth, only 24 and keeps improving every season.
He’s too reliant on transitions for my liking. It’s also why I’m not as keen on Neto as everyone else. Think Kubo is the play
Was it ever explained why Gabriel was dropped this week? Did we want out best ball playing CB’s on the field?
I would guess just to give Kiwior some real minutes
Only early in the season was it dropping.
This was rotation.
But if you’re playing Kai Havertz, you could also use those Kiwior special long balls than ground defence. Still not reason enough. It was just rotation. If you’re playing Kai Havertz, you need the LCB to have midfielder like quality on the ball to make it work.
This sub has gotten so predictable that the moment I post or see a comment I know exactly if it will get downvoted or upvoted, and even the people who will reply.
Quality of discourse has taken a massive hit with all the (relative) success of last year. Write anything that’s not googly eyed and people see it as provocative and controversial.
Agree, I tried to post a nuanced, somewhat controversial take in another message and got downvoted 🤷♂️
I think downvoting opinions that you disagree with disincentives diverse discourse and encourages group think.
Welcome to r/gunners. We downvote anything that goes against the hive mind here
Sorry it’s not negative enough for you
this is exactly what I mean. What’s even a “negative” narrative in football ? The players should have been more focused ? I never see this weird instance on “positivity” irl, and even on this sub it only became prevalent last season
Captain Saka 🥲
I’m sure this has come up before, but how hilarious would it be if the first time Bayern fails to win the league in 12 years is the season trophyless Harry Kane joins them?
Especially if Spurs get brought back down to reality at the same time. Tbh I would like Harry to win a cup as his quality deserves it but would love for Granit to win the league.
