The state shouldn’t have mandated that in the first place. There’s no need to mandate that which will happen on its own.
That’s a denial of the obivious fact that If tesla leaves those worker will be without a job… At Tesla. If Tesla were to shut down it’s business in Sweden, what would happen to the jobs of those people who currently work there (all of them, and not just the mechanics)?
Your seem to be inferring the workers could find jobs elsewhere which is not… insightful. Who would get them those jobs? The union? The union didn’t get them the jobs they have now so…
Is it easy to be cavalier with someone else’s job? It comes down to the scenario’s Fact (they’d have no job at Tesla) Versus the Speculation (They could find another job… somewhere).
I found a “What I’m really saying is…” Translator. Here’s the output: “We can’t compete.”
That’s a good question. There are reviews comparing Range, Pack capacity, and other metrics accross differnt models so it’s reasonable to see one for the interface.
Interesting ‘breaking news’. Was ‘Captain Obvious’ the author?
Here’s how much the Swedish union “cares” about workers: The head of the Swedish Trade Union would rather see those workers without jobs than have Tesla not be in a union. DISGUSTING.
"In an interview, Susanna Gideonsson, who heads the Swedish trade union federation fighting Tesla, sounded remarkably confident. “This will end with the employees winning a collective bargaining agreement, one way or another,” she said. And if they don’t? “Then Tesla can leave the country.” "
Union “Mafia” tactics…
One way to look at this decision:
Yep. Telsa is getting its plates, and thats all that they care about.
Oh… and also not signing Any CBA. There’s that too.
Who is the “they”?
sure. but… Tesla is getting their plates…
All it takes is immigration…
What kind of system is it, then?
So, it’s not the actual people ? Is the blog “Lying” and making up the content?
Sales seem to be going strong…
I know… I’m on the opposite side of the union question as you but I see how this would be ‘no bueno’ here in the U.S. is Sweden a socialist democracy?
This will force the Govt to act on this issue. They are suing several entities. The Court will have to issue a ruling and set precedent which is a good strategy. No one can believe that Tesla would just sit and wait out the strike without escalating… The article states:
“Tesla filed a lawsuit against the Swedish Transport Agency on Monday after postal workers began to block deliveries of license plates for the company’s cars. … Tesla claims the Swedish government has a “constitutional obligation to provide registration plates to vehicle owners,” according to the documents. The suit was filed with the Norrköping district court on Monday. It also sued the postal service, according to Bloomberg.”
Volvo, Audi, Nisan, VW, Hyundai/Kia exist.
So much for free competition/ marketplace…
