It sure looks different, but at least there are rational choices in the design. Not the “Stainless steel is so cool! Wouldn’t it be cool to build a stainless steel car? Oh wait, we can’t really form stainless, so let’s just fold it from triangles.” approach to design

Cyber Truck’s sloped frontend is much more aerodynamic than the Canoo jellybean shape.

And if you’re building a truck, you probably want a durable material. Stainless is going to hold up a lot better than the aluminum that other manufacturers are using now.

Are you sure? Sloped front ends don’t really matter for aero. A smooth surface with no edges is important for the frontal surface area. A sloped long back does help (but a pickup bed may be terrible).

In July 2022, Walmart entered into a definitive agreement to purchase 4,500 all-electric Lifestyle Delivery Vehicles (LDV) from Canoo, with an option to buy up to 10,000 in the future.

so they would need to widen the appeal a little.

I love the Canoo pickup truck look. I normally don’t buy new cars but that one is really tempting.

I want the same guy that drove the Aptera up the hill to test drive the Canoo.

    Up Hill - INCONCEIVABLE!!!

I sent a cancellation for my reservation weeks ago with no response. I guess I was one of those suckers that thought they’d actually sell a car.

I have friends that worked there… The environment is so toxic and bad, that I am surprised they even managed to build this demo.

I don’t mind it, as a minivan, but that interior is kinda garbage. They went all in on “gee-wiz aren’t we redefining things.” Most people want a dashboard, and I really hate this yoke instead of steering wheel trend. Some thing are standards because they work the best.

“The HVAC system is convective, relying on circulating air, not air that directly blows on the occupants.” I don’t think the author know what “convective” means.

In that one picture, it looks like the A-pillar is really blocking the forward view.

And yeesh, that rear seating is terrible. A weird curved bench seat along the sides and back? Why? So everybody’s knees can rub together? Again, doing things different just for the sake of being different.
