Feels like trying to solve a problem that does not exist. Yes, it looks kind of cool but a hatch is already out of the way when you open a normal hatch and this solution must have like 5-10 extra point of failure and possibility for it to jam.
Edit: It also removes possible boot space!
I’m 6’5" and the idea of a trunk like this is great. I prefer side swinging myself, but this is better than up swinging.
Looks cool and id be into that if it closed faster and if it works when the rear has been blasted with snow for few hours.
