I have a .45 Hi-Point carbine. Flawless operation, had never malfunctioned, weighs 10-pounds, impossible to clean. Along with other… odd design choices.
Hi-Points are what you get by giving a group a very smart engineers a list of things the product needs to do. A group of engineers that has never seen an actual gun.
Poor photographic skills. Were are the holed socks or bare feet in the picture? You need to either turn in your HiPoint or destroy that picture and take a proper photograph!
I have a Hi-Point .45 pistol and that pretty accurately describes it (the weight is fine but the balance is weird and makes it feel terrible).
I use it as a close range backup when I’m hog hunting. I’ve only had to use it once and it worked just fine. It literally saved me from being at least maimed and possibly dead but I still hate it. And I’ll keep using it until it stops working, which may be the apocalypse.
Damn. I really want one, but I already have a Colt .45 and the weight is the same. Is it this one?
Speaking of hogs, I’m outside all the time in NW Florida and have never seen one or evidence of them. OK, two came to my house, apparently lost, but I’ve never seen them in the wild. Horror of mine as a sounder would level my camp in the boonies. Where they at?!
It’s that in black. That Colt is going to feel much better, though.
Northeast Texas. I’ve got a buddy up there with some land and we have to go clear them out a couple of times a year. They tear up everything. He lost a dog to them a few years ago and now we go out there like clockwork instead of waiting for them to get closer to the house.
I have a Sig Sauer p320, had to send it in to get the “drop issue” fixed. Doesn’t matter how much you spend, engineering failures are everywhere. Not so much a knock on Hi Point as the neighborhood is live in. The one I found discarded in my yard two years ago had been rusted to the point of being inoperable.

For everyone trying to imagine what they are talking about - i had no clue
Mum the yanks are talking about their guns again.
Mine’s white!

A minimum of crocs is required for a proper hiPoint picture
I would disagree a bit as a traditionalist. But, I’m fine with changing tastes.
White is much better. Nice!

Another Person of Culture and Class I see. I too have a Sig P365XL.
Though I prefer my Remington New Army for most things.
