Dc fast charging generally do not save you much if any money. The real savings comes from charging at home.
I will be honest on road trips ICE is just easier. I take my EV because it is the nicer car but road tripping it is generally more inconvenience.
Let’s see prices spikes crazy last year for all cars and big time for used cars.
EV subsidiary are kicking in so they have to absorb that hit as well.

They are a true luxury car and yet again some of the fastest depression area.

Can refill car at home.
On points 1 and 2. It is not me anti oil company but the fact I can fill up my car at home with a set it and forget it. If I could refill my ICE car in the garage I would be all for it. If I had to drive so where to fast charge my car I would not get it.
It cost me less to run.
Fun to drive.
No flameable liquid stored in my garage.
Environment reason is not on my list and when I was making this list to convences my wife she called me out on it knowing it was a bs reason for me.
Since we got an EV. The lack of noise and cabin preconditing has become a bigger deal. We can shut our garage with out turning the car off first and can start the car with out opening it as well.
Simple answer. The sedan market over all is dying. Ice or EV the market itself is completely dying and shrinking. The BEV market is not large enough yet to support multiple sedans.
To me they hope this buys more time before they are forced to open up iMessage. They know in the long run they will have to open up but they can delay it a few more years.
