In a 2006 blog post, Adams asked if official figures of the number of deaths in the Holocaust were based on methodologically sound research.

In 2020, Adams claimed on Twitter that the Dilbert TV series was axed years ago because he was white and UPN had decided to shift toward African American viewers.

That same year, he predicted that if Biden were to win the 2020 presidential election, then Republicans would be “hunted”. He said there was a “good chance” they would be “dead within a year”.

He has also previously compared women asking for equal pay to children demanding candy and has claimed there were “satanic coincidences” in the Joe Biden presidential campaign.

In September 2022, Dilbert was pulled from 77 newspapers after Adams started to incorporate “anti-woke plotlines”, including one about a Black character who identifies as white. His cartoons also mocked the ESG movement (also known as the environmental, social and governance movement).

Reacting to a poll that found that 26 per cent of Black Americans said they disagreed with the phrase “It’s OK to be white”, Adams posted a video in which he said that Black people are a “hate group”.

He announced that he would no longer be helpful to Black people, claiming he had “done it all his life and the only outcome is getting called a racist”. He advised his white fans to “get the f*** away from them as fast as possible”, and made many other racist comments.

Well, you’re entitled to your own view. I don’t know you or your history so I’m not going to harp on you. It was obvious from the jump you have therapy trauma and I’m deeply sorry for that. I’ve had bad experiences as a teen with therapy, but looking back I can see I was part of the problem. So now I just see these types of arguments as justification to keep living in a miserable dysfunctional way.

However I will say comparison between organized religion and a medical science is sort of silly. I get what you’re going for, different strokes for different folks. But therapist are trained medical professionals backed by research and countless studies, not “sky wizard said I alone know best”.

Saying stuff like that is self protection cope so you rationalize staying away. None of those are even remotely close replacement to therapy. I was resistant for a long time to therapy, but actually going has dramatically improved my life in ways that consuming media never could.

Everyone in mine chooses a charity that gets donations in lieu of expensive gifts. We do very simple $10-20 gifts so we can still have the exchange and unwrapping process together as a family but the vast majority of funds go to better causes.
