He’s a bit of a wildcard imo. You don’t know what kind of form you’re going to get from him.
For that reason he’s a good option from the bench. If he was consistently as good as he can be at the top of his game, he would be a starter. So yeah, I think you are right - although comparing him to Bernardo (who is one of the most quietly consistent players in the league, and clearly one of the best) is probably wide of the mark.

Some statistics are useful, some aren’t, and some are selective - to push certain arguments.
I think it’s good the game has got more statistical, but now we have all this data, the art is in selecting and identifying which stats are meaningful. It’s a lot less precise than just plucking something arbitrary out of the air that people then use for their own agendas.
Nothing wrong with following a local side as a second team. I was born in Tottenham and from 4 generations of Spurs fans, so they were kinda both for me.
However I’ve had a few seasons supporting a couple of lower league teams when I’ve lived in other places. Spurs always priority though.
I could never trust a man who claims to support 2 PL teams equally.
We’ve been screwed by injuries and lack of depth but really, we are just reverting to our true league position, which was always going to happen.
We have massively over-performed this season. You can see it with your own eyes, but it’s also borne out in xG for and against.
No-one in our support ever really believed we’d challenge for the title (and the Chelsea game showed very well why the team are not quite ready for that yet, with the way they lost their heads)
He was a decent defender. As a Spurs fan though, he scored so many own goals against us (I believe more than any other player in league history) that it’s very fun to laugh at him.
PSG are a club where good players only go to waste their talent for boatloads of cash.
If he actually wants to leave (which is debatable, he’s got right into leveraging a better deal from them) then Saudi is the obvious choice. Not many big clubs would’ve seen his various power plays at PSG and fancy that at their place.
