Leaky defense and the usual rigid structure that we have with our starting 11 was lost. Spurs players were easily dispossessed, there were many miss passes and we could not properly build.

That squad depth is the reason. It’s going to take more windows for Spurs to become serious title contenders imo (though most of us were only dreaming at best, not expecting to really charge). Long overdue rebuild that should have begun 4 years ago.

Deadwood defense consisting of Dier and Davies may turn out to be the end of this club for this season. Ange can’t trust these players with his tactics. You may say “the old Tottenham is back”, well guess who are the old Tottenham lol!

Wolves deserved the win. They played better than us for the most part.

The other big problem is Maddison out - zero creativity and no service to Son without him. He’s arguably been the best attacking midfielder in the league so far - he’s been carrying the Spurs attack.

No shit. I think every spurs fan would say depth, especially in the positions that were affected by suspension or injury were the most serious weak points. The only chance to actually title contend was to have a Leicester or Chelsea type season where the main XI stays mainly intact.

That’s what happens you lose a few good players and things fall apart, it happened to Arsenal last year that’s why Arteta has changed the style of play so much so players aren’t missed as much.

If Lo Celso’s shot went in, it would have been a different story. Probably undeserved for Spurs and cruel for Wolves if it went in.
But no doubt Wolves well deserved winners. Created more chances but just couldn’t finish until the 90th min. I’m sure Ange will find no excuses and acknowledge that.

Ange needs funds to build depth, Levy refuses to put his hand in his pocket, they fall out, Ange leaves, start again…

Son looked absolutely lost today. Went missing for nearly the whole game, just popping up every now and then to win the occasional free kick and put in 1 solid tackle right before the winner. really poor game from the captain, and a lot of the other players matched his impact.

You were close to midtable for xGA, your defence before the injuries wasn’t as great as Spurs fans seem to think. Vicario being the best keeper in the league this season sort of helps.

Squad depth was highlighted before the season began, but it’s going to take Ange more than 1 window to fix. He’s done amazingly well with his first, so hopefully that continues. Depth shouldn’t be an issue in a couple seasons time.

Yeah this is nothing new lol, squad depth was always the key reason they were never going to be able to challenge.

Dude tott were never serious title contenders. It is funny that you or anyone thought they were

Just because you had good momentum at the start does not mean you are going to win a title. Last time i checked there were 38 games…

This is such a stupid post! Four players made their first start for the season, including 3 defenders and undoubtedly our best player so far this season in Maddison didn’t play. It doesn’t matter the team you do that to them they’ll struggle, man city without Rodri perfect example. To gain depth you need more then one transfer window and some players you can’t account for with team depth

also depths shouldn’t be an “addressed problem”. It’s a part of football since most clubs have injuries problem. The depth problem also come from strategy, schedule congestion, luck, etc. There’s no solution unless you are lucky, smart, and rich in scouting.
