In the uk it’s a £40k + car for something the size of a golf. It’s poorly thought out.

Does it change the fact that they are facing over 100 counts of financial impropriety? Does it look extremely dodgy that referees manage matches on the side at the expense of city’s owners?

Short of sheikh mansour actually reffing a couple of matches in person, it’s tough to see how the refs could make it easier for city…
They were soundly beaten by possibly the best team in the world.
Did pep cheat to become a generational talent as a manager? NO
Did the city players cheat to become as good as they are? NO
Was that team assembled unfairly by breaking FFP rules? QUITE POSSIBLY.
Are the refs biased toward city? IT LOOKS BAD THAT THEY WORK FOR CITY’S OWNERS.
In a game of fine margins, any advantages count.
What the PGMOL need to do is go on a fact finding mission* to the UAE to see if there is a conflict of interest.
*all expenses paid, first class flights and accommodation, complimentary Patek Philippe each.
Doubtless, they will discover that they have been unduly harsh toward Man City, and make up for it in the rest of the season.
