It’s a beautiful Monday to be top of the league.

It’s led to a better defense. Teams rarely get out of their halves and when they do they don’t create as much as last season. But yes it has come at the price of being slower and creating less clear cut chances unfortunately.
Having a stronger/deeper squad, the best manager in the world, and consistently winning trophies.
We are improving for sure, but City are still City unfortunately. Give us til the end of the season (and see how we do against tougher opposition in CL) before making claims that we are the best in the world.
Best team in the world? Mate City are still City. And did you watch our match vs Brentford? This is one of those epic wins where we got more than we probably deserved.
@OP the above post obviously is not a vote for RVP
Incredible that Martinelli got so few votes. Totally agree with the results though cannot argue with Suarez and Saka
Poor fella. We really need to dial back the number of fixtures (/ # matches in competitions people don’t care about) but that looks like a pipe dream at this stage
If Partey doesn’t get it that would be criminal
Mate you need to take a holiday and reflect on sorting a healthier work/life balance. Don’t grind too hard for too long. Life is short.
Interesting take Mom
I hate to say it but Ashley Cole was the better player. Do not want Cole to be in there given what a prick he is. Monreal was solid for us.
Fun initiative OP. And I understand you want discussion like this in here, but your current top comment currently is a good suggestion noting the limitations of upvoting comments and how there are better ways to run this exercise (eg poll or survey to select the player).
We’re going to end up with an odd best 11 if you stick with this process.
This comment shows how OP’s method of upvoting comments as the way of selecting players will not work as well as something like a poll or google survey.
It’s not up to us to “get our wingers in 1v1 situations”. It’s the opposing team’s choice whether to double up or not.
Furthermore loads of our goals come from the extra central space created for us when teams do this to try and nullify Martinelli and Saka.
If they stop doing this, Martinelli and Saka score more. If they keep doing this, everyone else scores more and Martinelli and Saka are still getting assists and a perfectly fine number of goals.
Yes but his qualities are sort of wasted there
Honest question, what’s wrong with our width currently and why will it help us if Saka moves closer to the middle more?
Elneny has barely featured past two seasons, but when he has, he has not put a foot wrong. On what do you base him not being good enough? We haven’t got to see much of him past few years, but what we have seen has shown he has improved significantly into a quality player since Arteta arrived.
In addition, he is massively respected by the other players and staff and on low wages (would be lower next year). What’s the harm in keeping him when there’s little chance we could improve upon him as a depth option for a decent price?
Not to say it can’t work, but Jesus is our best option up top and (while a very small sample size) has not looked great the few times he has been at RW for us
Top of the Prem and topped our CL group with one match to go. It’s a beautiful Thursday to be a Gooner.
