Credit to Tudyk for pulling double duty on Joker and Clayface, but he can’t cackle like Hamill.
It’s not even a comparison.
Not because any of them are bad, but because each Joker is in a different scenario. Tudyk’s is a part of the Harley Quinn series, which is more about comedy than anything(also his Clayface is great).
DiMaggio features in the Under the red hood movie, which is very dark and I think his performance fits that.
Hamill is from the older animated series but he also shows up in the justice league series and a few movies. I’m not really old enough to appreciate him in the cartoon but I liked him in JL.
Someone also mentioned Kevin Richardson and he’s probably my favorite. He’s from a later animated series and his version of Joker is much more random, crazier.
Mark Hamill also plays the joker I’m the Arkham games series, and he’s a big reason those games are so good.
A lot of good decisions were made when developing Arkham Asylum, but bringing in the BTAS voice cast was among the best.
I still can’t believe how good Asylum was. I know some people prefer later games in the series, but the intimacy of the smaller environment in Asylum made it the best of the series IMO. It felt almost like a Metroidvania but with Batman.
TIL Tudyk plaed Joker and Clayface. Now I guess I have to watch it
He played clayface in both creature commandos and Harley Quinn, though I prefer the Shakespearean version in Harley Quinn
Hamill is a legendary actor but Tudyk ain’t no slouch either. I fully agree that Hamill’s joker is better but there’s certain roles where Tudyk would outshine him.
I love Alan Tudyk. I got to meet him once at a ComicCon. Warm, professional, and funny.
Like he’s a Con Man or something.
He’s done some incredible work.

Really riding that Disney train these days.
That gif is fuckin hilarious but I’m also remembering him as Wash and that was the best damn sci-fi show ever cancelled. Say what you will about Joss, fuck him. That show was great.
I watched Serenity in theaters on opening day not knowing anything about Firefly, and when Wash got speared, I shit you not, half the audience audibly gasped and more than a few people sounded in genuine distress.
I watched the TV series later and understood why.
He’s a leaf on the wind — watch how he soars ~

Gar. He be a leaf on the wind.
You know how Reavers clean their spears? They run em thru the Wash.
My wife hits me every time I tell this joke. She refuses to accept Serenity as canon.
Your wife sounds great, is she single?
Signs point to no
Man do you blame the guy? If I had that kind of voice I’d take that gravy train all the way to the station while putting food back in the world with their cash
Joker Fish are Batman canon.
If an actor can’t do Joker Fish, they aren’t right for the role.
Eugh, thanks for reminding me that episode happened. I had nightmares for days afterward. Batman was cool, and I still loved it as a kid. But I could have skipped that one.
Yes, but, what about Kevin Michael Richardson’s Joker?
Aside from Mark Hamill, he’s probably my second. His character design is unique and looks bad ass, plus his voice acting is great. He’s got a deep voice that still hits those highs which makes him sounds particularly good.

Kevin Michael Richardson is such a dynamic actor, I’ve loved all his performances. He did an AMAZING Shredder in the 2012 TMNT. He was terrifying.
The Batman’s Joker is easily a second place favorite. His voice is deep and gravelly yet high pitched when needed. The lack of shoes and shaggy gair gives him a more feral look. Complement that with a pair of huge silent clown henchmen and goofy looking gadgets and it ends up being a little reminiscent of Cesar Romero’s Joker.
I’m glad to see someone mention Caesar Romero’s Joker! I have a soft spot for the 60s Batman, and he did a great job making the Joker whimsical but still dangerous. He played so well against Burgess Meredith’s Penguin and Eartha Kitt’s Catwoman.
Don’t forget the straight jacket!
His character has that insanity down
This is kind of a misapplication of this meme format: Mark Hamill is the obvious favorite. The whole point of the meme is that the chosen option is overlooked. I didn’t even know DiMaggio voiced Joker.
“Christian Bale or Ben Affleck as Batman?”
“Michael Keaton!”
“Michael Keaton!”
George Clooney
Bat-nipples
I was thinking more along the lines of the young interviewer not being aware of Hamill, but you have a point.
What even was the original? At this point I don’t even remember
Here’s the Know Your Meme. The interviewer asked him “PlayStation or Xbox” and he indignantly answered “PC”.
Which is a great, authentic answer
John DiMaggio is an awesome voice actor but his Joker ain’t remotely his best work.
His best:

Bender, a close 2nd.
Id say the opposite. Bender his best, jake second. But both are really close haha
Henry Cavill or David Corenswet?
Tyler Hoechlin.
I liked that Hoechlin’s Superman was established. He wouldn’t have worked as well as an emerging superhero but he played the learned, experienced Superman so well.
They need to do a Batman movie where they’re old so Hamill can play a live action Joker.
I’m sad that David Bowie died without ever getting cast as The Dark Knight Returns-era Joker.

Now that Kevin Conroy has passed, Mark’s been pretty open about retiring from being the Joker. He was even open about only being the Joker if Kevin was there. They had good chemistry together and really knew their characters.
I’m sad there’s no new Kevin and Mark Batman and Joker, but someone else needs to take the torch for both characters.

Someone’s shop of him from The Flash as The Trickster.
As mixed as the show was, Caped Crusader had a fantastic Joker.
It’s very different which is obviously what they were going for, but I really like the way they redid most of the villains in Caped Crusader. I didn’t like it at first, but looking back, was especially impressed with Two Face.
Joker Trinity
