Before I got my OLED I never would have guessed that 90hz was the real upgrade. The screen looks amazing obviously. I just didn’t realize how much better games would feel.

If I could sell my LCD and use the cash to partly pay for an OLED, I’d do that but not really an option at the moment. Meh. I may just wait for the Steam Deck 2: Electric Boogaloo.

    You’re like them too, clearly.

I’m happy with my OG. I’ll wait for steam deck 2.

Well if it’s any consolation, spend another day on this sub and you will find out every possible flaw your new OLED one can have so you can look for them all until they drive you crazy and you want your LCD back.

Don’t forget to also check if your case makes any creaking noise, and check if your buttons rattle more than on your LCD. Also you’re an idiot for getting the etched screen because it’s not as sharp, and you’re an idiot for getting the glossy screen due to annoyingly reflections, so make sure to return it and get whichever one you didn’t buy.

There is a bit of difference, not significant to the layman’s eye tho. I have the antiglare matte finish screen protector on my LCD and I really don’t mind it. So no he’s not an idiot for getting one it’s to each their own. 👍🏼☺️

You just created an infinite loop of buying one and returning it for the other, endlessly.

id case creaking just as common as with the lcd? if so i may pass on the upgrade, creaking on a $400 (+$200 of upgrades) is more tolerable than creaking on $550 (+$200 of upgrades)

My only issue with mine is the loose buttons. My LCD deck feels very premium with very in place buttons.

Oled is amazing, but my buttons keep getting stuck and they jiggle and make annoying noise

Or when your deck comes home after running away, you can have two decks. Crisis averted

Honestly I must be the only one who doesnt want to rush out and buy one. Oled is nice, but Ive never looked at the current screen and been dissapointed.

That said I never use outside or whatever.

I sold my LCD deck a couple of months back, as I wasn’t using it a ton, and I was never super happy with the screen. The 512gb was out of stock at the time, and I sold it for basically what I paid for it. I now have an OLED arriving in a few days. First time in years I’ve actually lucked out on a tech purchase!

I don’t care about oled but the other features fix all of my complaints (better battery, longer charger, better connection, more storage). But I ain’t buying it. I paid 679 € for this thing and I don’t have the cash to spend that again :(
