Ever since getting an EV, I’ve noticed drivers to be a-holes! This guy in a huge truck spit in my direction for no reason!

All over social media people will key teslas, and talk crap. Has anyone else had weird experiences?

Most of the people I know feel that they are forced to EVs (buy regulations, taxes), rather being it their choice. I live in EU

Purchased my first EV about a month ago and experienced the exact opposite. On several occasions when parked in a public spot, random people ask me questions if the vehicle is a hybrid or full EV? When I tell them it’s fully electric, they start asking more questions and are genuinely intrigued. That said, mine doesn’t look like the conventional EV.

Overall, I’m totally happy with my purchase thus far, which will be validated over time.

Because obviously making 350hp with a V8 is way cooler than making 500hp with an electric motor

Not everyone is from the US, in Europe, most cars are small engined 4 cylinder petrol or diesels. There is nothing cool about the performance or sound of their cars, they still hate on EVs though !

Medias are paid by oil makers and automakers. The formers always hated EVs, the latters tried to sell theirs and then realized they would have just lost money doing so, and now are reverting to ICEs and hybrids. The result is an anti-ev campaing being paid by all the major sponsor of traditional media. Fake, old and twisted informations about EVs are constantly spread all over internet, papers and tv shows. Here in Italy most people thinks that “lobbies” pushed for the EV agenda to force people to buy new, impossibly expensive EVs, just to make people poorer (just saying…)

I live in Florida and I have not experienced any haters while on the road. The only grief I get is from friends who once they find out I bought a Tesla start spewing myths about it: catching fire, takes too long to charge, battery will fail, worse for the environment, batteries aren’t recycled, too expensive, etc. I’ve tried to prove to them that their beliefs are incorrect but people don’t like change or admitting they are wrong. Now I just tell them to believe what they want to believe. I don’t care.

Republicans are brainwashed to hate whatever liberals like. It’s their most fundamental program. If liberals cured cancer repubs would refuse the cure.

I’ve also found the reverse. Liberals tend to hate whatever republicans like.

One example is the recent immigration to NY. Because Republicans are against immigration generally, liberals thought they were for it, until recently when the influx became too much, and they realized maybe the Republicans were right after all.

Sure, and many Republicans quietly got vaxxed for COVID while supporting GOP leaders who railed against vaccines and wearing masks. Plenty of Republicans “know better” but simply choose to ignore it when their leaders wage their culture wars against EVs, e-bikes and such.

No, re rallyed against vax mandates, for freedom of choice and following the data. The commies closing down everything was BS. And the darn vax is more like an innoculation as it doesn’t work that well against the variants. I still got Covid last year after 4 or 5 shots.

Somehow, I don’t believe you given that you can’t even recall how many vaccines you received.

Agree, I am too while owning a Tesla & eMoto bike with no ICE for backup. I’d say thats “all in”. No reason to paint with a broad brush.

I remember when cell phone became a thing. People would have a fit if your phone rang in a theater. They talked all kinds of shit about phones and now everybody has a phone. They are just jealous. They’ll get over it.
