That really depends on your preferences, to be honest- it’s not “objective” at all. I personally enjoy DDing a car that feels special everyday and that handles with more sharpness. The argument for M lites being better dailies mostly comes from the softer suspension, but I prefer the bumps myself. I feel like I’m driving something raw and alive that keeps my attention on driving. Hell, 80% of the time I don’t even turn on my radio because the driving experience is that enjoyable.
The G80 M3 is even more feasible as a daily driver than the F80, which is what my point is as well. Each generation of M cars becomes more viable as a daily driver while also gaining more performance for their sport mode. There is a clear emphasis in providing daily usability while also providing performance, whereas track cars are focused on sacrificing anything to pull the best track times. The G82 M4 CSL is arguably a track car, since it does exactly that. The Huracan STO is a track car. An M3? Not a chance
It’s just as feasible to daily drive an M3, but an M3 is an objectively worse daily driver than a non-M.
I say this as someone who daily drives an F80 M3 lol.
