🤮 A subscription for an OBD reader? Seriously? They’re not adding any new content and I bet support is abysmal. These “companies” are getting away with robbery day by day.
You realize it’s the same fucking thing with most scanners right? It’s either credits to tune/write with free reading or the whole thing is subscription based even if the scanner is from snap on or any other Major or minor brands
My wife got her step dad one and I inherited it when he died. I tinkered around with it a bit but it definitely won’t replace a bi-directional and know how. I definitely wouldn’t drive with it stuck in the OBD port. But it’ll help keep track of maintenance items like changing oil, rotating tires, changing wiper blades, checking battery life and charge.
It’s for the completely ignorant of how to fix vehicles. It will give you common fixes for codes. It’s basically like going to the parts store without talking to a wannabe mechanic on the other side of the counter. But as far as a cheap, compact code reader, if you get it for a good price it’s not bad. Just don’t pay for the subscription.
If it’s just scan ya your right my scan tool is like $250 per year I think and it’s code reading basic diag and read modules but most diag I do is though tis

It is free to use, but they do offer a “premium” subscription, idk what for though.

Nah it’s pretty bad, you can get a full featured subscription free one for $15. Veespeak makes one that works with other apps.
I’ll just stick with my Autel bi-directional, I really have no use for one of these.
It’s $100 a year for basic features
I wasted my money on this POS.
