Jorginho and Havertz starting in our midfield largely explains our lack of creativity

We are largely reliant on moments of individual brilliance

What bother me about Havertz is how casually he passes the ball and lack of intent in his finishing. He plays as if there are no associated consequences

The jorginho thing is becoming like David Luiz. Where he’s actually a good player, solid contributor and a smart buy, but he’s lazily lumped in with the Chelsea flop from around the same time (Willian, havertz). We’re very fortunate to have jorginho he’s been great for us.

This is revisionism at its finest. Luiz, until his last 6 months, was calamitous and only saved some of reputation for his last few games for us. Jorginho has been far better than Luiz

He’s a great backup, and we’re lucky to have him honestly. There aren’t many players that can play the 6 role in this team, and having him come in january and fill it well enough is a big blessing.

He was never meant to be playing this many games, but that’s what happens sometimes.

I can’t remember what position/role Jorginho was meant to fill in for when we bought him - was he meant to be a 6? Tbf to him, he’s been quite versatile.

I agree we scored goals almost exclusively because of special plays by the front 3 (particularly right now with Odegaard out).

Kai struggles to create in the midfield, can’t finish a chance to save his life, and is a below average defender. What does he do? It feels like his only value right now is winning aerials and I can’t understand how that justifies a consistent spot in the first team.

He plays as if there are no associated consequences

When you have the manager and fans saying you are playing well and wont hold you accountable when you are being passive and a 6/10 all game will do that

I’d put Rice in there too. He’s great but his creativity is the one lacking feature.

I mean it’s kind of simple when you think that we aimed to upgrade on Xhaka but ended up downgrading in almost every aspect

He plays as if 0-0 was the optimal score. Frustrating how little he contributes offensively
