I’m super happy for Havertz he’s finally got the reward for the good movement he’s shown this season in the final third and his overall performance yesterday was better but I still think there’s a massive issue as a midfielder with him. He’s just not comfortable on the ball in tight areas or on the turn in midfield areas it was better when he played on the right side but I still think it’s gonna be a problem for us at times. Odegaard dropped deeper more in build up yesterday I thing which helped maybe that’ll continue.

This is a good idea imo a yellow card for some of these tactical fouls isn’t enough

Nothing against Havertz I hope he succeeds I like him, there is no way we should have signed him over someone like Barella. If they wanted Havertz as an experiment they at least needed someone else to come in just in case it didn’t work. Maybe they’ll do it in Jan.

He’s correct the defence is great but we need to create more, hopefully Trossard in midfield can help more, Brentford away is really hard but maybe next few games it works.

Can they work on bettering how it currently operates before they try this? Second yellows is fine though

As much as I and others hate on Eddie I think he’s kind of in the wrong era, I saw someone compare him to Defoe the other day and he’s not as good but I get what they mean, if he had a strike partner with him as a sort of target man and he could be more of a poacher and ball to feet I think he’d actually thrive. I just don’t see how he can play as a lone striker in the prem at a high level when he can’t win any 50/50s with long balls that aren’t directly at his feet.

I know people keep mentioning the defensive aspect but we’re gonna have to compromise here because we simply don’t have an option that’s great attacking wise and defensively. Havertz is almost certainly gonna be a better defensive option but no one thought he’d be any good defensively when he first joined, if Trossard can be a decent defender and offer a lot more going forward than I think it’d be worth it tbh or at least worth trying.

That being said he’d probably be my back up striker to Jesus, we need to just buy a central mid in January.
