I actually started playing the PC more. My deck hardly gets used now.

Did the 500e even have CCS? I thought it was only the J1772 charging inlet.
I really wanted to get a smart eq as a second fun car, but these stories are making me too nervous to own one. I used to have an ice smart, and getting that repaired was a nightmare.
What’s the best option for a used small car EV? A golf or mini?
I was thinking about Sonic: Superstars, but I’m still waiting a bit longer, and it to be half off. My friend tomorrow at work will determine if I buy it or not.
This will not be your fault. I’ve had an expensive tech item delivered to a neighbor before. (It ended up being next door behind their flower pots) However, at the time, no one knew where it was and I ended up getting UPS involved with the claim.
That is a good point. When I rented an EV when I was in LA last month I charged it to 100% both nights at the hotel. The first day was for a lot of driving around. The second was so I could get to the Rental car with 80%. I wouldn’t have charged like that with my personal car.
I disagree, in certain situations folks will need every percent. I needed 100% when I was driving from Staunton, VA to Snowshoe, WV for a weekend ski trip. I actually unplugged at 96% because it was so slow, but I wanted as much buffer as possible. I arrived with less than 10%.
Snowshoe, WV is in a National Radio Quite zone, so no cell service and only one spot to charge at Greenbank Observatory which was nearby the resort. The drive was through the mountains in the winter, so while the estimate was correct, I would not blame anyone for wanting to charge to 100% for a drive like that.
The honeymoon period for the Steam Deck OLED is officially over. The chase for the “best steamdeck” continues. I love this community.
My first EV was new, my second EV will likely be used. It’s great to see the used market come back to life.
Remember in the early days of the deck when people had bubbles under their screens? Valve replaced those.
Doesn’t the fall sale start later this week?
I grew up in Minnesota and NEVER saw someone take out their battery in the winter. They might have a oil pan heater plugged in, but for the battery, nope.
Remember, cars on dealership lots will be sitting there all winter, only moved to be washed. You’ll be fine.
It’s great to see new people joining, but I’m of the age to remember when Half Life was released on PC.
