My new LE OLED Deck has a few red sub-pixels that are dead, and I’ve seen reports around this sub of others with similar issues. It almost seems like it is being mentioned more for specific models. So, I’m curious…. If you got a new Steam Deck OLED what model did you get and how is your screen?

my 512gb OLED is fine
My 512 OLED arrived yesterday- no dead pixels.

Same here. Haven’t seen any and some little dust specks have made me paranoid but nothing that seems legit.
So are the 1 TB reg oled etched safe? its just the limited edition orange ones with this issue?

Dang it seems like its mostly LE owners with lots of issues. Like the dead pixels seem to be mostly LE and the issues with the DPAD and buttons seems to be all LE also. Weird

Just checked as well… have one that I can see in the test but yet can’t notice it when playing. Wondering if I should RMA it or not

Seems like the LE in general has had the most issues, or maybe it is just the most popular?

I was able to with my first LCD deck. Now, I got em’ again with my LE, but TWO stuck pixels this time (on a BOE panel).
Honestly gonna hold off until Monday, decide if I wanna RMA then, or hope it fixes itself.
Whew. So glad I got the Samsung panel. I know people will say BOE is just as good, but every post I’m seeing for dead pixels is 99% the LE edition with a BOE screen…
When I got my LCD Steam Deck last Christmas, it had one dead pixel. Valve was great - they RMA’d it and sent a new one within a week or so. Hopefully they haven’t changed in that regard.
My LCD that I got back from an RMA a week ago has a single dead pixel and they’re replacing mine.

My LE is arriving tomorrow. I’m tempted to just reject the deliver for a refund and order a 512gb and be done with these LE horror stories.
