Glad it was this season. I actually think they are playing well enough to take this hit and stay up. Taking this hit now and being 5 points from safety in a season where the three promoted teams are some of the weakest I’ve seen I would put money on them surviving.

Starting next season on -10 when Leicester are coming back up and town looking strong and probably guaranteed some decent investment in the January and summer windows I think it would be much harder to manage assuming they continue to be so badly mismanaged.

Everton take a hit they will probably survive to set a precedent of punishment which can be used to apply a scaled up punishment to other clubs in breach of rules. Sucks that the first ones to feel the penalty weren’t the first ones to break the rules but as long as its used as a yard stick for others it seems like the best scenario we’re gonna get.
