I’m strangely unenthused by the prospect of Toney, just doesn’t seem like enough of a step up to be worth it.

The solution is to have another independent panel to check whether the first independent panel made a clear and obvious error in their review all while giving the officials more overtime pay.
Me too, was encouraging to see.
Yesterday’s comically bad header aside I feel Havertz is actually starting to show some progress. The last three games have shown slow growth (go faster…).
I agree with this assessment and wish the sub could look at him in this light rather than the very boring “he’s shit / he’s amazing” debate. The questions for me are:
It’s really unreasonable of ETH to expect McTominay to score 3 here.
If we are in a good position going into the new year I can see KSE going all in and splashing on a striker target to win the league. This is the best window of opportunity that has opened in the past decade for us to push for the title given where our squad and the rest of the top teams on the league are. Possibly the year Leicester won was better from a rivals perspective but our squad was nowhere near the quality we have now.
The press loves nothing more than a made up private valuation.
The stats split here is not that helpful as it can’t really differentiate the different contexts in which Eddie was brought on. So the analysis would have to go deeper to be meaningful about the specific question “Nketiah: Better as starter or supersub?”
But the very fact that you need to dig so deep in specific areas probably answers the question of “What is Nketiah’s stand out talent?”. And the answer is still “not really sure” or maybe more kindly that he is an all rounder that is a decent team player.
Eddie works decently hard and has some threat about him but he doesn’t really bring something different to transform a game. He has improved each year but not massively so to the point where his growth curve is undeniable. He is what he is, you still need squad players and if he puts the work in then so be it. If the time comes we can improve and he can find a new spot then great, until then he is serviceable.
Guys if we actually get Osimhen I’m just going to throw away all my pants as there’s no chance they will fit around the massive erection I will be sporting 24/7.
