1 year agoHe was very good. He wasn’t a top-tier CB like Rio, Vidic, Adams, Terry, Campbell, Kompany etc. but just below. He was solid, intelligent, consistent and reasonably versatile too - you don’t play for Liverpool for that long otherwise. Unfortunately for him, he played at a time when England had a few outstanding CBs.
