It’s already fair. This is someone who didn’t realize that equal isn’t always fair and fair isn’t always equal. Your president’s response was spot on.

My company has a half dozen L1 chargers (installed about a decade ago) but our EV driving group has expanded so much it’s crazy (about 25% EV drivers) so I’m pushing to get a dozen L2 chargers installed. We have over 50 EVs parked in our lot every day, and that’s after all the carpooling and van pooling we do. Not every employee can take advantage of all those benefits but it’s fair for all those benefits to exist.

My first EV I swore I’d upgrade after diving 3 generations of Prius previously. I test drove a few but my favorite was the Volvo XC40 Recharge. I put 36000 miles on that car but ultimately sold it. I still miss the incredible handling. I could have gone with another Prius but I wanted something higher performance.

I now drive an F150 Lightning. Amazing truck that I use for light hauling weekly, camping monthly, and as a daily commuter. I went with it over an ICE F150 for fuel efficiency and environmental reasons (of note with the feature set I was looking for there the EV F150 and ICE F150 were effectively at cost parity).

Congratulations! I actually recently sold my '21 with 36,000 miles on it. I still miss that car, incredibly fun to drive, great handling, awesome features, and Android Automotive OS beats the pants off Android Auto. You picked up an amazing EV!

Now granted I replaced the vehicle with an F150 Lightning which is also awesome, just in a different way.
