They drive differently and honestly a lot of people that aren’t tracking these are going to like the low-end torque of the S. I personally don’t think the 4-cyl sounds nearly as bad as others, but it really doesn’t compare to GTS engine.
THAT SAID, the prior generation Caymans have a better sounding engine than any of the 718s, imo. Especially if this isn’t a daily driver, you may consider an older one to save money and get a 6cyl engine.
This isn’t surprising (whatever the source) but this also isn’t at all an indicator of how things will behave moving forward. I think we can expect 911s to depreciate a LOT more in the next 5 years and they did in the previous 5 years.
Sticker at 105K means that there is a lot of options that will depreciate. I got my 2023 GTS for MSRP at 95K, and it was new and a custom order. Do you have a link to the sale so we can see what options are on it?
I literally won’t consider a car if it doesn’t have Apple CarPlay.
A GT3 touring just for the engine noise. Probably a 991 since I think it looks better than a 992.
