No, it’s Hamas throwing the Gazans under the bus.
It’s not new: terrorism is old. But talking about other things doesn’t change this one.
No country is going to let a thousand people get slaughtered by terrorists and just shrug it off. The goal of the 10/7 massacre was to start a war, and it worked.
Ok, and why is that? Could Israel have targeted just military buildings and avoided civilian ones? Or did Hamas blur any such distinction by using homes, schools, and hospitals as military command centers? Hint: it’s the latter, and it constitutes a war crime.
What you seem to be missing is that Biden supports Israel, not Likud.
And that’s fine. It is right for mob bosses to die behind bars.
He doesn’t have 20 years left. Look at him: he’s 77 and in terrible shape.
His death is less important than how he lives out the rest of his life. Better that he survive long enough to receive punishment for his crimes and serve as a lesson for those who would follow in his footsteps.
Right, we have to stop Trump to block the rise of fascism. It’s necessary, but not sufficient.
I wish I could agree, but I can’t. Trumpism is just a particular brand of fascism. It’s not like Naziism died with Hitler, either. Then again, Hitler had to die.
So, yes, we do have to stop Trump and punish him for his crimes, but we shouldn’t imagine that it will end with him. However, if we don’t stop him, then it will continue with him.
Right, I won’t miss him when he goes, but I’m not rushing him into the grave, either.
Thing is, the problem isn’t just the bad people, it’s their bad ideas, and these persist, even in death.
I’ll cheer when Trump dies (although I’d rather he live long enough to die behind bars), but I’m under no illusion that Trumpism will die with him. Likewise, Bernie’s socialist-populist incursion into the DNC was never just about him and won’t end with him.
I don’t actually want him dead, but it would be nice if he were to shut up about things he doesn’t understand. Of course, then he’d be entirely silent.
Exactly this. It’s not like there’s any shortage of movies showing Jews eating pork; where’s the outrage there?
Nobody can stop you from obeying religious or cultural food prohibitions, but that doesn’t give you any excuse to demand that others obey them, much less that they depict people obeying them.
