Thanks! Still definitely in the planning stage, but I’ve been looking at replacing my Impreza with an EV for awhile and while a lot of the options on the market are very nice, they’re not really what I’m looking for (smallish with sliding doors). I’ve been following conversions a little bit off and on for a couple decades, but now with all the OEM rigs out there it seems like its a great time to hop in.
If we could import stuff from overseas that was newer than 25 years I’d grab a Ford B-Max instead, but since that’s unobtanium the Mazda5 is the only small van we have here unless I go back to an original Caravan or Voyager. (If anyone has a lead on a TEV Van or EPIC, I would buy one in a heartbeat if the price wasn’t too ridiculous.)

The lack of a good PKB on decently specced smartphones is a travesty, and I’ll die on this hill.
Also, the lack of buttons in modern cars is even more of a bad move since you need to be able to operate radio and climate without taking your eyes off the road.
There is some hope though: https://slate.com/business/2023/04/cars-buttons-touch-screens-vw-porsche-nissan-hyundai.html
Which are superior to touchscreens, obvs.
So excited to see a smaller car coming to the US. Now we just need the Portal and Stellantis will really be hopping in there.
