Owner had a right to blab to press. That’s poor service from both the dealer (technical incompetency ) and from Hyundai Canada (customer service). Don’t let your rights get tread on as a consumer, they didn’t give a shit about this until he went to the press. He was ignored when he went to Hyundai before he went to the press.
The owner went to Hyundai Canada and they fobbed him off, now they are backtracking because it has gone public. This is more a story about poor customer service from HQ and from the dealer/garage.
This isn’t something that’s unique to EV’s, although because they are still somewhat new the likelihood of getting bad repairs service from a dealer/garage is much higher.
People here are confused when you use the word efficient but you’re talking about specific power output. So power/displacement. So how much horsepower per cubic inch (or how much kW per litre etc)
I too found it amazing how American cars had such terrible specific outputs.
I wonder what the worst American V8 is of the malaise era?
This was going to happen with or without EV’s. The Chinese aren’t going to sit around and let foreign corporations run the show in any market.
I’m surprised we don’t see diesel being used instead, it wipes the floor with petrol/gasoline when used as a generator
Just release a Civic “Type-E” . Although the Civic in all forms will likely die by the end of this gen 100%. Most likely their next EV will be a CRV/HRV
Ultimately you wonder much like Toyota, will Honda ever get to grips with EV’s, it looks very unlikely
