Try sunshine/moonlight

Steam link is great because it’s easy to use, but holy hell can sunshine/moonlight push some crazy low latencies. It’s decently playable over the Internet. In home, it’s insane.

As far as 1080p without horrendous latency, gamestream can do it easily over your own home… iv done 1440@120hz, works great with sunshine/moonlight

As for the resolution, it’s solvable but you’ll need extra shit (add a custom resolution to switch to, which means Linux shenanigans that get overridden every update + ideally scripts to switch automatically. Or a dummy display plug)

A dock probably makes more sense.

Valve is using their own HDR implementation in Gamescope, literally nothing else really exists.
