Corrupt in favour of who, or what?
Corrupt in favour of who, or what?
He only got it a couple of weeks ago because Sunak appointed him Foreign Secreatry, which is why in this case the pressure’s on him specifically.
There’s no such thing as the Arsenal Chelsea rivalry
Chelsea-Arsenal love in shocker. Didn’t see that coming.
Welcome to the club
United are the biggest or at the very least in the top 5 biggest clubs in the whole world. Being “only” two points behind Spurs is a weird flex, but ok.
That and your incredibly expensive and talented squad.
For me, it’s (in order) NLD, Spurs\Chelsea and then Spurs\West Ham. I honestly can’t get worked up about other clubs derbys, none of them seem to have the same venom. Apart from South Wales derby, there’s two teams who really hate each other.
This is the most plastic comment I’ve ever read.
Arsenal and Liverpool are still in the race and I’d expect one of them to still be in the hunt around April. Villa and Newcastle will be likely competing for the last top 4 spot rather than mounting anything more at this point. Chelsea might turn a corner but they’ve fallen too far behind but who knows (and I mean turn a corner to compete for Europe, not the title)
As if this weekend couldn’t get any worse…
What title charge? The onky people saying there was one was rival fans.
As I’ve said all along we don’t have the squad to compete with the real contenders. At the start of the season I thought we’d be doing well to be sneaking into the Top 4, and that’s still the case now.
Being a fan doesn’t mean living in cloud cuckoo land. Look at the mess Ange inherited, look at how long it’s been since we last won a trophy and look at the resources available to Liverpool, City and Arsenal.
This seasons aim was never to win the league, and it would be very unfair to put that expectation on Ange and the squad now. Especially after 10 games. We’re doing brilliantly well, much better than any Spurs fan expected.
Being a fan is about being behind the team and club through thick and thin. It’s not about just expecting instant success, that’s just being a glory hunter. I signed up for a season ticket again this season despite living hundreds of miles outside of London and putting up with all sorts of shit last season. I didn’t do it just because I thought we’d be winning.
I guess we just have different ideas about what being a fan is.
We’ve already had some questionable decisions go against us, just as Liverpool have had them also go in their favour this season but honestly who cares? There’s no conspiracy, just refs of questionable ability like any profession.
The reason we won’t win the league, or even get close, is because beyond maybe 12 or 13 players our squad lacks the required depth. It won’t be because of some corrupt ref helping Man City.
I reckon it’ll be Arteta, I don’t see them giving it to Ange three months in a row.
How’s about… no?
James Maddison. Funny to think just a few months ago I couldn’t stand the sight of his face.
Really soured on David Moyes on how he handled Zouma and the cat kicking incident. “I’m animal lover, but…” - fuck off. Just say you’re OK with animal abuse and be done with it.
When I was 14 I could probably tell you every player from every team, every shirt sponsor. These days, even as a premier league ST holder, I probably couldn’t name a single player from, say, Burnley. I have no idea who sponsors Nottingham Forest. Couldn’t tell you what colour Man City’s away kit is.
I blame it on the fact that as a 40-something I don’t have time for Panini stickerbooks.
