It’s slow shipping as Valve have went for the absolutely cheapest option.

I ordered as soon as they fixed the payment issues and was sent out on the 25th and zero updates since then. I’ve also just ordered a package from Japan saying 2-9 business days and fully expect that to arrive before this.

Easily the worst launch I’ve been a part of, losing out due to bots/scalpers/demand is one thing, but to actually buy an item and have to deal with this nonsense has been a complete pain.

It’s pretty clear Valve has tried to do this as cheaply as possible. The fact that they launched this on a Thursday/Friday and then didn’t have anybody working the weekend, or use a courier that did weekend collection really shows.

I can order from random people on TikTok and get my order sent out the next day and Valve can’t do it after a week? I can even order an iPhone at 7pm and Apple will have it delivered the next day.

They don’t seem to be using any sort of reasonable order when it comes to sending out items, it’s very clearly not based on first come first serve, or location based.

Pretty clear Valve have done a pretty poor job handling this release, ordering something on a Thursday night and it still hasn’t been sent by the following Wednesday is just awful.

While not a release period and they have more experience I can order an iPhone at 7pm and get it the next day meanwhile Valve can’t even ship my Steam Deck for nearing a week after purchasing…

Ordered at xx:19 and 3 (5) days later and still not sent out…

Ordered basically as soon as the site worked on a Thursday and it’s almost EoD on the Monday and nothing, Valve really got to improve their process, what was happening on the Friday…

A little frustrating that something I ordered on a Thursday evening is still sitting around waiting to be sent the middle of the following Monday. Would have expected them to have been sent out on the Friday to arrive early this week.
