I know the term from American Football (non-soccer). Usually is a foul since your going in and possibly taking out the knees. For PL Football, I would need a little more for context, IE is this the person on the ground behind the wall?

I just read on this and it sucks. Has nothing to do with buying players (influencing team performance) and all to do with all to do with bad accounting. Worthy of a financial penalty but not performance penalty. Chelsea fan here and waiting to hear on our situation, but as an American, I don’t get these rulings. Fines, banning new signing etc. but points deduction just doesn’t seem fair the club and fans.
I think there could be some advantages for throw ins, it’s an opportunity for a set play, but I don’t see that as much as I would like. I am in the US and when I coached I found this was the time to have set plays, which I see in corner kicks, but not so much on the 2 I mentioned. Too often I see throw in and goal kicks go to the opposing team.
I was thinking Haaland deserved the win, especially with Messi moving to the US leagues and PSG being knocked out of the champions league, but there was a post comparing all the numbers from goals, assists to dribbling etc… Messi had better overall numbers to make up for the goals difference between the 2. Still think Haaland deserved the win with that last season, but feel better that Balon d’Or wasn’t just a popularity trophy/award.
For United States consumption. We like some games not in the wee hours of the morn.
