Really should have gone for Zaha instead of going for the “cheaper” option.

Yann Kermorgant might not be a household name, but his penalty miss spawned one of the all time best fan videos:
One I quite like from the athletic a while back - make the penalty box a semi circle instead of a rectangle (goal to reduce the number of penalties for handballs in non-dangerous areas).
I’d also quite like to tweak the handball rule to something like a “meaningful difference”. Eg if it looks like the ball is going wide but hits a players hand, not a pen. If it brushes a players hand in the box, but doesn’t change the outcome of where the ball lands etc then not a pen.
Juventus were relegated and stripped of titles due to match fixing and paying officials for favourable outcomes.
There is zero chance they will be stripped of their titles or auto relegated.
Fines, points deductions and transfer bans are almost certainly the extent of any punishments they will receive if found guilty
So to put it in context; pretty sure the biggest points deduction in English football for breaching accounting rules is around 10 points. Most of the bigger ones usually involve administration added on.
City’s, if proven, probably happened over a longer period so you could see a 15 point deduction. Max would probably be 20 points.
Doesn’t feel like Chelsea’s breaches were as substantial so a 10 point deduction would probably be expected although considering the change in ownership some of that may be suspended.
The only time you see relegations imposed or titles stripped away is when match fixing is involved (eg in the case of Juventus)
Watched the Goal for the first time today to see what the fuss is about. Considering there was nothing to overrule the on field officials for balls being out or offside I agree with those decisions.
In terms of the Gabriel “push” seems to me like the defender made a hash of attempting to head it away and then tried to exaggerate the contact by flopping to the floor. Definitely doesn’t look like the sort of natural fall you would expect from a push.
Not sure I’d have overturned the refs decision, especially when watching replays in normal speed.
Both tackles should have seen red. Bruno’s really should warrant a longer ban as well as an attempted forearm smash should be looking at 6-7 games minimum in my book.
Just so bored of it all. Surviving in the premiership without mega financial backing is just a soul destroying experience. Occasionally you might get a good run or make a few decent signings but it’s very hard to sustain that and inevitably you start dropping back to mid table / lower half.
