Neither were particularly game changing decisions TBH. As crazy as it sounds, in justification of Hooper it’s a pretty isolated 1v3, Silva isn’t particularly outpacing any of those players and you could argue there isn’t an advantage to be played. Is it still a shaky call? Absolutely. But I do not think it’s as outrageous as anyone’s saying it is.

Realistically an Asian country will win it at some point. China and India are simply too big not to and Japan have amazing systems and commitment to the game. Likewise for similar reasons to all 3; the USA could be a good generation away from at least challenging IMO. Otherwise biased but Australia have some big things on the way lots of young talent coming through and being recognised by big clubs (Irankunda-> Bayern ect)

I think for the same reason their position is unacceptable and embarrassing, Chelsea. Really simply put, you can NOT spend billions of pounds so rapidly and NOT achieve anything, there has to be a point where you are buying success and a billion pound personnel investment is absolutely past that.
