What do you all make of Martinelli’s individual season so far?
He’s been carrying our left side and needs a run of games. He got very little credit at the weekend but when we were shit in that game he was one of the only ones who looked up for it.
Thought he has a poor game at the weekend. He really needs to get his head up when running with the ball.
He is literally having to do everything over on his side, anyone thinking he had a poor game is not seeing it, his outlet availability and ball retention against two defenders was top notch
He seems to have regressed back to holding onto the ball for too long and not getting his head up to assess where other palyers are when he runs with the ball.
It was a lengthy injury spell, he’ll need a few games to get back up to speed. We definitely missed his pace.
We have rubbish dynamics around him and we leave him to deal with the left side on his own.
