I expected Ødegaard to regress, Jesus has been injured basically all season but the real disappointment is Martinelli’s output. I thought he’d get better numbers this season but we just don’t give him enough opportunities to shoot. Has to do shifts on the touchline with no help from fullback or midfield.

Carragher had a decent segment about us on MNF. I don’t agree that the defensive improvement is marginal. 1.1 to 0.8 xGA is huge. That’s potentially 11 less goals conceded in a season. But he is right that if we don’t improve attacking numbers we will not win the league.

I still have faith that we improve 2nd half of the season. Injuries have been disruptive and Arteta still hasn’t figured out his best midfield dynamic.

Who cares about some Brazilian kid that plays #6. That position requires maturity and experience. Let Chelsea have him, I’m sure he’s gonna get enough game time to develop behind Caicedo, Ugochukwu, Lavia, Santos and whatever random kid they decide to spend 20m+ on next.
