The male experience is being told men have their own spaces and then looking into them and finding bigotry violence and misogyny. It’s completely gross.
FWIW, I’ve been to a few large-scale Nerf events and they were a healthy mix of dude-bro gun enthusiasts (on account of the hobby being eminently gun-adjacent) and queer folk flying their flags, and they were all having a great time together.
