Getting pretty uncomfortable (and beyond angry) with how much focus Americans have had on us lately. Combined with the 51st state shit too makes me really worried

This has been clearly coming for a long time now…we are at war, and the general public has been failing to understand this.

Soon enough…all will be made clear to them public by the end of this year.

The whole CBC 9/11 thing is honestly pretty worrying to me because it’s the perfect dumb American bait. If you ever wanna goad an American into supporting something, 9/11 is The Way.

I saw the CBC article in response but I feel like I completely missed the initial context. What actually happened?

CBC updated their guidance document so broadly, if their journalists want to use the phrase terror attack to describe a particular attack, they need someone to attribute the use of the word terror to. Basically, don’t describe an attack as terrorism without having a quote or source for that.

The Americans went “ok but what about 9/11?”

Rather telling the RNC did not provide a reason for revoking the CBC’s accreditation. Presumably the RNC doesn’t like CBC’s journalistic standards about the use of the term terrorism but we’re just guessing.
