Gee I wonder what types of people used to live in those neighborhoods that were eviscerated for the highways…were they by any chance a minority?

Curiously, cinci is seriously rethinking that specific stretch of road. There are currently plans oto kinda turn a bunch of it into a park…you’ll never guess who started moving in to the west end a few years back…

Yeah I was trying to think of how this could have happened. Maybe large developments in the suburbs? Then this part of town just became an area you drive through, to get where you are going. Maybe some low rent apartments there where mostly people of color lived. Add crime and mismanagement. Then eventually it’s ripe for the teardown. What a waste.

Can confirm, it’s a spaghetti mess here. It’s not a pleasant driving experience, and it certainly isn’t a pleasant living experience.

So if we go back to the 50s, where do we put the rubble from highway demolition?

      Uses for Recycled Concrete

      • Road Bases: Crushed concrete serves as a sturdy foundation for new roads, parking lots, and driveways.
      • New Concrete: Fine and coarse aggregate mixes can be added into fresh concrete mixtures.
      • Landscaping: Large chunks and gravel act as retaining wall material, drainage stone, or decorative ground cover.

No. I’m not on the insane war you are. At a certain point you are just being a Luddite. I can use ai to make a list without destroying people’s lives. It’s fine.

It is absolutely a skill issue if you’re such a slow and bad typer that you need an LLM to write you a simple bullet list. Do you need the bo-bot to fuck your wife too?

Thank you for volunteering your time. I’m to busy but if you have all this available time I’ll just have you do it instead of Google. Problem solved. I will not be paying you.

It’s wild that you consider having sex and typing equally enjoyable. So do I actually because I’m asexual, it’s just not very common. I let girlfriends use vibrators so… yes? I would have a bot fuck my wife if I had a wife. Sure. Is that the win you were hoping it would be lol?

I don’t enjoy making list so I have a robot do it. I’m not at war with ai like you are, there are some problems with it, but much like recycling if you feel it’s me personally causing the problem you are laughably wrong. Go after big business not random strangers.

You could get every single individual person involved in your anti ai crusade and it wouldn’t change anything. AIM a little higher.

Recycled concrete, especially the smaller pieces, often produces high pH runoff. It is adequate for road base, can be used with new concrete, and an environmental disaster when used in landscaping. Seen piles of it produce 12.5 ph puddles.

    Sure, yeah, fuck cars…

But was it supposed to look better in the top picture?

Like the second picture at least has a green space.

Not saying the second looks better… But definitely not worse

The green areas sem to be mostly grass, which while pretty, are bad at providing shade, carbon capture, and use a lot of water. So, better than a parking lot, but not by a lot.

You might not be considering the natural areas that needed to be destroyed to move all of those people and businesses. Density is better than sprawl for the environment for that reason.
