Just a heads-up for everyone in the EU, there currently is a petition going until the 17th to get the EU to ban conversion therapy. The petition still needs massive numbers of supporters, so it is likely to fail. Still, I wanted to share with you an easy method to support a more inclusive EU!
I don’t think I can offer much here other than that I sincerely hope it succeeds
Entirely besides the point of the actual petition, I really feel like that flag could be a lot better. Half of the stars are blending into the background too much

Signed it, but I wonder how much of an actual problem is it in the EU. Whenever I hear of conversion therapy, it’s usually from within US.
The way things are going, I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes a thing in e.g. Italy - their abortion access certainly seems to diminish. Frankly, I think most EU countries have at least a small amount of religious zealots who would do conversation therapy if we let them.
And…… signed!
Wow nice, just sent it to a friend that is a EU citizen.

Thanks for the heads up! Re-posted in some closer circles, should be atleast a few votes popping in from our side ✊❤️
I signed. Thank you for the heads up!
Just be reminded that wording by religious people can be deceiving and cause such practices to survive in closed circles: https://www.christian.org.uk/news/over-700-church-leaders-urge-govt-to-protect-churches-from-conversion-therapy-ban/
So this is therapy to convert people to LGTBQ? Consensual, right?
…you might want to give the linked petition a cursory read
Sorry, I’m still learning this whole “reading” thing. Personally, I’m beginning to think the whole “coming-down-from-trees” scheme was bad value

Well, I heard there’s a “therapy” that can help you go against your nature, but I think it should be banned

The member states have to add EU-Laws to their own laws. Not 1:1, bzt it has to follow the spirit and letter.

I would imagine Hungary enjoys doing that.
There’s a legal process which may result in financial sanctions. Seems like there are 30 actice cases right now.
Here’s some general info, an FAQ and a database.
