I purchased a brand new 2023 cx 30 about 3 months ago.
But in the last few days, every time I tried to start the car, the pedal would not go down and I had to jump-start it.
I presumed there was something wrong with the battery and took it to the dealer today, they did a diagnostic and found nothing wrong.
They said if they don’t find a problem, I have to pay 200 in diagnostic fees.
Now I am stuck with a car that can stop working at any second and 200 debt owed to the dealership. Any advice on what I should do? Help :(
Your battery may be low on fluid. Mine came with a Panasonic battery from Japan, and it was low on distilled water.
if its brand new go back to the dealership you.bought it from as its still under warranty they will have to sort it for nothing. under the contract of mazda they have to give at least 3 year warranty for brand new vehicles. and cant charge you a penny for fixing it.
I work for Mazda and unfortunately the CX-30s are famous for dead batteries. I’ve had customers had to get replacement batteries on a car I sold them 2 months prior because they let it sit for 3 days! Mazda need to sort it out!
Next time it dies, don’t jump start it. Use Mazda roadside assistance and have it towed to the dealer. That’s what I did with our 23 Mazda CX9 and they replaced the battery. It’s a shame that these batteries suck so much but it’s a known issue.
Go to a new dealer…you are warrantied
If the dealer is unwilling to help with the battery, call Mazda customer service hotline. They will get the dealer and district service manager involved if needed.
Also ask for a print out from their battery tester. If they can’t provide that then go to another dealer. They aren’t certified to do warranty work. It’s mandatory for Mazda dealers to provide this.
This… A dealer wasn’t sending me the nav card that they forgot to put in my car. So I called customer service they got in touch with the sales manager for me and I got the nav card in less then a week.
You paid for a warranty service in a brand new car?? 😳😳
Dont be worried, but my Mazda3 HB Preffered is on the 3rd one
battery? how long did you have your car?
10 months. Got it used on feb/23 with 4,800 miles. . It’s a 21 HB Preffered
How can the mechanic not find something wrong or atleast acknowledge there’s a problem if it can’t be started without needing a jump?
I’m confused too, but they said they tested the battery and circulation, and found no problem.
Did they try to start it? That’s literally the first thing to try.
That would imply it starts, at least intermittently.
