With the new version of the steam deck having Wifi 6, is there an improvement in remote play with Chiaki or other remote play programs?

Latency and stability matter way more than bandwidth for game streaming (bandwidth barely matters honestly, if you can watch netflix then there’s a good chance you have enough bandwidth for 800p)

Are you sure there is no latency benefit? This is one of the stated advantages of WiFi 6 over 5 is better latency

I removed variables from my post. I did that because there are so many factors at play here it would be impossible to list all the caveats and guess at someone’s WIFI deployment. Optimal WIFI 5 and WIFI 6 setups would have no noticeable difference for game streaming. WIFI 6 will handle connections better when some of those variables are introduced. It also depends on the source of streaming as many programs deliver the stream differently.

So, in a roundabout way, WIFI 6 is going to be better at handling connections which can improve the streaming experience… depending on setup. Is it going to be some magical improvement over WIFI 5 if you have it set up properly, no.
