Ever since getting an EV, I’ve noticed drivers to be a-holes! This guy in a huge truck spit in my direction for no reason!

All over social media people will key teslas, and talk crap. Has anyone else had weird experiences?

You think people hate EVs? Try riding a bicycle. Keep in mind that half the population has below average intelligence, and they’re all on social media.

I used to follow all the rules of the road and stayed in bike lanes for my safety. After so many trucks seeing how close they could get to me while flooring it and spraying me with exhaust, I stopped riding on streets. Too many hit and runs never closed, and all those people gambling with my life, I stopped riding except on trails. I love doing triathlons so for me it was not riding to commute but riding for fitness. But yeah people suck in general.

Also keep in mind that bots are up to 40% of internet traffic. There are massive pay to play troll farm operations and obviously OPEC nations and Russia have huge vested interest in keeping EVs down. Look at Gamer-gate and how well the managed to program youth to have a more ahh “conservative slant” to reality or what some might call alternative facts.

“Half of the population had below average intelligence and they are all on social media.” So true. So funny.

Average = mean. Median is not an average. Average has a specific definition and it’s not the same as median or mode.

          No mean is an average.

Mode is the most common number is a dataset.

Median is the number that is in the middle of the database ordered.

          For example: 0,0,0,0,1,1,1,5,10

          Mean: 2

          Mode: 0

          Median 1

All three attempt to find the tendency to the center, which is what an average actually is. Mean is the most commonly used average, and median follows, mode is almost never used as an average.

The fact that people use average as synonymous with mean doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t.

Do we have any reason to believe that intelligence doesn’t follow a normal distribution? It’s uncommon for these types of variables not to do so, so mean and median should be the same here.
