minus-squareklabnix@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoSeriously I’d say Saudi Arabia purely because they’ll find some way to manipulate (bribe?) fifa to allow them to field more foreign players
minus-squareLammie101@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoYou can definitely see a generation of younger players being bought into their system and gaining eligibility by the time they’ll host the WC. Having said that, we expected Qatar to benefit similarly but they never really managed to produce players to that level.
minus-squareSoothedSnakePlant@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoQatar did achieve absolutely remarkable success for a nation their size in the AFC competitions though. They just never put it together for a World Cup appearance.

minus-squareklabnix@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoMaybe. Saudi being 10 times the size I’d think they maybe able to get some of their own players one day
