I’ve got an automatic 2014 Mazda 6 and my car hit 120k miles. The manual recommends an “engine fluid change” and I don’t know what that means, is this just a brake fluid flush…?

I change the oil frequently and the manual refers to “oil changes” on its maintenance chart. It must be a translation issue to English but sounds like a coolant change then…?

There is no brake fluid inside your engine. So no, it’s not that.

The only fluids inside your engine are oil and coolant.

Actually for our safety you can check all fluids, for a 10y old car getting all fluids checked every 5 years should be mandatory and considered normal, not only oil every 10k km.

Even transmission fluid? Checking for leaks makes sense, not sure if there’s a level gauge on the transmission reservoir
